Seattle's Largest Selection of Fun, Funky, and Functional Socks!

Socks for Every Type of Monster

Satisfy Your Inner Monster with these Great Socks!

The Sock Monster is Seattle’s largest collection of fun, funky, and functional socks. They carry socks for men, women, and kids as well as leg warmers and tights. They specialize in colorful and fun socks, socks with stripes, socks with animals, fun prints, and toe socks. They also have sock garters made just for them so they have a larger color selection than you’ll find anywhere else.

The Sock Monster is a small, woman-owned company that strives to support other woman-owned companies such as Sock It To Me, Rock Socks, and Sweet Marcel. They source all of their socks from excellent factories, working hard to support fair trade and sustainable practices.

Doors opened to the public on May 21st, 2010 by local sock fanatic Holly Gummelt. Holly saw a need in Seattle for a little extra color and warmth in the lives of her neighbors. She has been graciously welcomed into the community of Wallingford just west of Seattle’s University District. Since there has been such a strong response from fellow Seattlites, Holly decided to open a website so that people all over the country can enjoy the luxury of great socks.

Their customers vary wildly from construction workers to college students to senior citizens. In fact, one of the things they love most about socks is how they appeal to so many different people. A great pair of socks is something almost anyone can agree on. We hope you enjoy the selection of socks that have been hand-picked for you by Holly and her great staff.
